Oh, how we adore our sweet daughter and the boys, their sister! Addison, you are a joy to your family, your "big friends", your brothers' friends and pretty much everyone who meets you. We are constantly stopped when out and about because people want to talk to you. Folks are just drawn to your sweetness.
From day one, you have been nothing but an easy-going baby - full of joy, contentment, and flexibility. Crying has been a rarity and met with great concern from your brothers. Both your big brothers love playing with you, tending to your needs, and protecting you from harm.
You are known affectionately by the 4 of us as "Baby" -- we hope in your second year to call you by name a bit more, but for now, how we love our "Baby". Your mom is so thankful for your tiny frame (a mere peanut weighing in at 17 lbs -- it's all the crawling!) and bald head because it makes her feel, despite your 12 months, that you are indeed still her little baby.
Addison, we love hearing your babbles of hello, bye-bye, mama, dada, dog, and yabby-yabby (whatever that means!). It is such a treat to hear you carry on conversations with us and nod your head with interest and responsiveness. Your smiles and laugh are infectious and you just ooze sweetness. Yet, you are also a pistol -- getting into more things than your brothers before you. That glimmer of mischievousness in your eye melts our hearts. You crawl so fast we can't keep up, love to hide, put EVERYTHING in your mouth (including a roach -- poor mom!), and kick your legs and clap your hands with sheer delight.
Baby, we all love you so much. Thank you for bringing so much to our family and filling an Addison-sized void. This year has been one of our best and so much of it is because you are here with us!
